Intellectual Outputs (IOs)

This page contains the following publicly available Intellectual Outputs (IOs) as resulted from work under the ECOdesgn4EU project.

IO1 – Curriculum of reference on Ecodesign for Creative and Cultural Industries

The European ECVET Curriculum provides a reference of competences in Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries, using a common language to describe competences, skills, knowledge and proficiency levels that can be understood across Europe, following European standards and frameworks of reference such as the EQF. This output is designed to meet the needs of VET and in-company teachers, trainers and managers working to support I-VET and C-VET students on how to apply Ecodesign principles for sustainable CCIs.

The aim is to serve as a common basis for the elaboration of syllabuses, curriculum guidelines, examinations, textbooks, etc. across Europe. It describes in a comprehensive way what learners have to learn and what knowledge and skills they have to develop so as to be able to act effectively in the application of Ecodesign principles for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries. It provides the means for educational administrators, course designers, teachers, teacher trainers, examining bodies, etc., to reflect on their current practice, with a view to situating and co-ordinating their efforts and to ensuring that they meet the real needs of the learners for whom they are responsible.

IO2 – ECOdesign4EU Virtual Campus and Training Material

The Virtual Campus on Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) provides an online ICT-based platform for educational delivery and management, as well as access to information, tools and innovative resources. This set of interactive online services is configured as Open Educational Resources.

ECOdesign4EU Virtual CAMPUS is designed and implemented in order to provide project users, beneficiaries and stakeholders with access to:

  • Online Instructional Guide on Digital Competencies for Virtual Learning
  • ECOdesign4EU Training Modules. A structured set of innovative training contents and practical activities on Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries, organized in areas, levels and units.
  • Vocational Open Online Courses (VOOC) on applying Ecodesign principles for sustainable CCIs, developed on the basis of the Training Modules.

IO3 – ECOdesign4EU Self-Assessment App

The aim of the ECOdesign4EU Self-Assessment App is to provide a practical and innovative ICT-based tool designed to self-evaluate competences on Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries included in the European ECVET Curriculum of reference. The ECOdesign4EU Self-Assessment App is an innovative assessment tool to be used in VET programmes to evaluate the acquisition of Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries by I-VET and C-VET students. The App is designed and developed based on the training contents, practical activities and assessment methods developed within the IO2 Virtual Campus.

IO4 – Guidelines to Foster Transparency and Recognition of Ecodesign for Sustainable CCIs

The Guidelines provide a reference document with a coherent set of practical guidelines and recommendations to foster transparency and recognition on Ecodesign for sustainable Creative and Cultural Industries. The Guidelines integrate other results and outputs of the project, including the assessment methods designed in the ECOdesign4EU Virtual Campus, the Self-Assessment App and the lessons learned during the pilot phase. In this regard, the Guidelines integrate the feedback acquired during the piloting phase applied by the partners in different sectors and fields of the CCIs. Furthermore, the Guidelines support, and are aligned with European transparency and recognition instruments, such as ECVET, EQAVET, EQF or Europass.
